Despite what most think, within the palace there is no safe zone..death is a common and accepted thing among the King's children. Naturally, with multiple wives...there are many children..and a competition from birth on who is going to succeed the king. It isn't a matter of order of birth, but survival of the strongest. But one mother just wants one thing, her daughter to survive. Although she has to figure out a way to get the girl out of the palace, without anyone knowing she was still alive.
