IFTTT Launches iPhone App Full Of New Recipes [Updates]

Do you automate your life with IFTTT? You can now do it on the go with the new IFTTT iPhone app. This much anticipated launch of IFTTT for mobile brings the power of IFTTT automation to your iPhone, with new recipes that are built on actions you perform every day.

The new iPhone-related recipes come via three brand new channels: Contacts, Photos and Reminders. These channels include such recipes as emailing every new contact you add, saving new contacts to Evernote, automatic photo upload to services like Dropbox, SkyDrive, Flickr or Facebook, adding Evernote notes using Siri, and much more. There are currently 80 different recipes to choose from in these three channels, covering almost any action you can dream of.

If you?re not familiar with IFTTT, you can read this quick summary, but keep in mind that many new recipes have been added since. In a nut shell, IFTTT ? or ?If This Then That??? is a service that helps you connect any two actions on certain conditions. Want to automatically save Gmail attachments to Google Drive? There?s a recipe for that. Want to save your Instagram photos to Dropbox? Not a problem. Only recently, a new Feedly channel was added with many new recipes for the popular Google Reader replacement.

The new iPhone app is free to download, and according to IFTTT, the existing recipes are only the beginning. Yes, it?s only available for iPhone at this time, but the IFTTT team also states that ?IFTTT for iPhone is our first step towards bringing the power of IFTTT to all of your devices?, so hopefully we?ll see this on other mobile platforms soon.
